"Top 10 world's most Expensive cities-2014"

Various sources has released the most expensive cities in the world for 2014.The Expenses include prices for everyday items such as food,rent,clothes,petrol etc.This year Singapore named costliest city in the world to live.The results from the Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2014 Worldwide Cost of Living survey, released today, placed Singapore ahead of 130 other cities based on more than 400 different price indicators, from basic groceries to the cost of heating.

1.Singapore

Singapore is named the most expensive city in 2014, to buy clothes,relies heavily on imported goods and has an increasingly strong currency. The city’s transport costs are around three times higher than New York, which it used as a benchmark for comparisons.Singapore replaces tokyo which was the cotliest city last year(2013) and tokyo moved to 6th costliest city in 2014

2.Paris

Paris city of France is named as 2nd costliest city in the world 2014.Here the costs of wines were increased by $2 a bottle when compared with last year (2013).

3.Oslo

Oslo city of Norway is named as 3rd most expensive city in the world.According to the survey conducted by various sources this city is costliest in the category of entertainment, also costliest in various categories  which are not in particular . 

4.Zurich

Zurich a city of Switzerland is the 4th priciest city in the world.According to the reports, this city is priciest in eggs,cold medicines. where 12 eggs costs £4.26 which $7.13(US Dollars).

5.Sydney

Sydney a city of Australia is the 5th most expensive city in the world for 2014.It was dropped down two ranks from last year and became the 5th costliest city in 2014

6.Caracus

Caracus a city of Venezuela is the 6th world's costliest city.It ranked 9th costliest city in 2013.

7.Geneva

Geneva a city of Switzerland is the 7th priciest city in the world.Here the expenses of fuel and meat made this city to be ranked in this position.

8.Melbourne 

Melbourne a city of Australia named to be the 8th world's expensive city.This country can be considered to be a bad place for a smoker.As a pack of Marlboro cigarettes costs $16.73.

9.Tokyo

Tokyo a city of Japan is the 9th most expensive city in the world.According to the reports the food items are too expensive in this city.
