"Facebook to Buy Titan Aerospace, a Drone maker for $60 Million"



Sources say that Facebook looking into buying the Drone maker company called Titan Aerospace for $60 Million. As, they want to inter-connect the entire Globe.Their main aim of buying the drone manufacturer is to make full use of the aircraft's that fly at the higher-altitudes.This is Facebook's other mission after buying whatsapp for $19 billion to bring the internet access worldwide.

The solar-powered drones which can reportedly stay airborne for "five years" can help Facebook achieve its goal of providing Internet access around the world. Drones have recently emerged as a burgeoning area of technology, with even major U.S. companies like FedEx and Amazon hoping to employ the unmanned devices.

According to Facebook, just over one-third of world's population have the Internet access.So, to make internet worldwide Facebook started a project called internet.org which was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, last year.They partnered with number of tech giants to make internet access all parts of the world.

Facebook also wouldn't be the first to use floating devices for global Internet connectivity. Last summer Google launched Project Loon, a pilot program testing Internet access via solar-powered helium balloons.
