"TOP 10 Billionaires in the world-2014"

Forbes released the Top 10 billionaires in the world list this Monday .Here is the list of the richest persons in the world












1.Bill Gates($78.5 billion)

No, more doubt in that he is the one you guessed. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft has recaptured the title of world’s richest person with the estimated fortune of $78.5 Billion. Having the age of 58 years, tycoon’s fortune has increased by $15.8 billion during the last year. In accordance to the index, the shares of Microsoft have rose up to 40% and it is the biggest achievement for the Microsoft Company.He topped the list for past two decades.


2.Carlos Slim Helu($72 billion)

Carlos Slim Helu, 73 years old Mexican stood in the 2nd position of richest persons in the world, having the value of $72 billion.Until the recent year, he remained the number one richest person in the world for the four years and now he is the second richest person after Bill Gates. The assets of Carlos Slim Helu are mostly invested in the publically trading companies. He has about 46% shares of his company. Until the last year, his worth was $73 billion because of the surging stocks at his financial arm, known as Grupo Financiero inbursa and at his Grupo Carso industrial and retail giant.


3.Amancio Ortega($65.3 billion)

Amancio Ortega, 77 years old spain citizen came in at the third position of the list, having the value of 65.3 billion.He has a richest family background so he is richest man in Spain and his ex-wife was the wealthiest woman of the country until she died. All due to the major clothing retailer inditex named Zara fashion outlet, whose 59% shares does Ortega hold. He stepped down as the chairperson of inditex, parent organization of Zara in 2011.


4.Warren Buffett($58 billion)

Warren Buffett, 82 years ol American stood at the 4th position in the list.Also he is the second richest person in america. He has the values of $58 billion. His designation is CEO, Berkshire Hathaway. The major amount of his income comes from the textile company. While Warren Buffett was struggling to survive in the market, he began buying shares in the firm in 1962. He called it the Dumbest Stock.












5.Ingvar Kampard($52.8 billion)

Ingvar Kampard, 87 years old Sweden citizen came in at 5th position.He is the founder of IKEA and having the worth of $52.8 billion. He is the richest man in Sweden.He is featured for the first time in the list of top ten richest persons in the world. He stepped down as the chairperson to the world’s biggest furniture retailer, IKEA during the last month just to hand over his seat to his youngest son. Kamprad is expected to be the top gainer in 2012 as his organization made more than $36 billion revenue and $4 billion in net income through the diverse trusts and foundations.



6.Charles Koch($50 billlion)

Charles Koch, 77 years old American stood in the 6th position of the list.He has the worth of $50 bilion.He is the Chairman and CEO of Koch Industries.He is one half of the most affluent sibling partnership in the world.He along with his sibling David Koch gained this position.Koch owns 42% of Kansas-based industrial firm Koch Industries where he serves as chairman and chief executive. In 2007 he shared some of his secrets to gaining a fortune with the world when he published a book ‘The Science of Success’.



7.David Koch($50 billion)

David koch, 77 years old American is the  7th richest person in the planet having the worth of $50 billion.He is more active than his brother(Charles Koch) and operating the chemical wing of Koch Industries from his home. He also owns the 42% shares of company. David Koch, survived an airplane crash in 1991 in which 34 people died, is vice president at the firm. Koch is a major patron of the arts and has contributed to several charities including the American Natural History Museum.


8.Larry Ellison($43 billion)

Larry Ellison, 69 years old American is the 8th richest person in the world having the worth of $43 billion.He is the Largest share Holder in Oracle.Since March, he has dropped three spots. Before it was the fifth richest person in the world. Most of his wealth comes from the oracle where he holds 23% of stocks.His wide range of investments include the Hawaiian island Lanai.













9.Christy Walton($35 billion)

Christy Walton, 58 years old American came in at the 9th position of the list having the worth of $35 billion.She is the Co-Chair of Children’s scholarship Fund. Forbes knows her as the Wall-Mart widow. Walton is the widow of John Walton, the second son of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton.She owns almost 402 billion shares, which is nearly 12.2% of the retail company. She inherited the wealth after the death of her husband in a plane crash in 200.















10.Jim Walton($34.3 billion)

Jim Walton, 65 years old American is the 10th richest person on the planet.Jim Walton is the Chairman and CEO of Arvest Bank Group, inc.He has a close relation with Christy Walton because he is the brother-in-law of Christy Walton.He has approximately 12.6% shares of Wal-Mart in his possession. Jim begins his career in the company to hold the real estate transaction. He also replaced his brother John on the board after his death. John was Husband of Christy who died in a plane crash in 1995. He is also the owner of Bentonville’s local newspaper known as Benton Country Daily Record.

A total of "1,645 billionaires", with an average net worth of $4.7 billion, made Forbes’ list of world’s richest, now in its 32nd year. That's up from 1,426 in 2013. Meanwhile, 100 ex-billionaires were dropped from the world list from last year, and 34 Americans dropped out of the US Top 400, according to Forbes.












The year’s biggest dollar gainer was "Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg", whose fortune jumped $15.2 billion, to $28.5 billion, as shares of his social network soared.He jumped from the position of 66th last year to 21st position this year. Tech, and more specifically Facebook, helped propel numerous fortunes lately. The company’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg, joins the ranks for the first time, as does Facebook’s longtime vice president Jeff Rothschild. Also, thanks to a $19 billion deal  (including restricted stock) with Facebook, WhatsApp founders Jan Koum and Brian Acton join the ranks of Silicon Valley’s wealthiest for the first time.
