"iphone 6 release date, rumors and specs"

Apple's most anticipated smartphone iphone 6 have some rumors regarding its release date, specs, the good and bad.

The iPhone 5s and 5c have only been out for about six months, but the rumor mill is moving fast and furious on what the next version of Apple's flagship phone will look like. There  are number of questions and rumors running in the minds of Apple users about the upcoming iphone. Here are the listed rumors on iphone6

iphone 6 Screen size rumors

The one thing that everyone seems to be able to agree on is that the iPhone 6 will have a larger screen than any other iOS smartphone before it. There's a definite market for large-screen phones, as we've seen with the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy S4, so it makes sense for Apple to compete on screen size.

The question that has to be answered is, how big will the screen be? Early rumours suggested that there would be a 4.7in screen. Most rumours suggest that the screen will have a Full HD 1,920x1,080 resolution. However, we think that the resolution could be wrong, mostly because of the way that Apple works.

rumors on Two Screen Sizes?

Rumours that the iPhone 6 will come in two screen sizes simply won't go away. The most recent information comes from leaked information from Foxconn executives (unnamed, of course), reported by BGR.

According to this information, the iPhone 6 will ship in 4.7in and a phablet-sized 5.7in. This would be the first time that Apple has launched one mobile product in two sizes, but the company is apparently ready to make an exception this time around.

Even more fuel was poured on to the fire of this rumour, this time with information that a 4.7in iPhone 6 to be joined by 5.6in iPhone phablet.

There are also plenty of rumors out there about what's coming in the iOS 8 version of Apple's mobile operating system. In a report from 9 to5 Mac, Marc Gurman said that the next version of iOS will come with a major upgrade for Apple Maps. The mapping service, which got off to a rocky start in 2012, has been steadily improving, and Gurman reports that, after a few acquisitions,  Apple has given Maps a much higher level of polish and added much-requested features such as transit maps. The firm may even play around with augmented reality, the report said, which lets users see directions and place names laid on top of images from their phone's camera. Improving maps is particularly crucial if Apple wants to play in the connected car space as much as its recent release of CarPlay, an operating system for smart cars, indicates.

"What's new on iphone 6" rumors?

The new system is also rumored to include a new app for another key area of Apple's future growth: wearables. 9 to 5 Mac has also reported that Apple plans to introduce a dedicated health app, code-named "Healthbook," to collect and analyze fitness data.

One of the most intriguing is that Apple may use sapphire glass,a type of glass that it uses for the camera lenses and fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5s,for its full screen, and embed a solar cell into the screen to serve as a power source. The speculation comes from Seeking Alpha analyst Matt Margolis, who thinks that a series of Apple moves ranging from patents its filed on solar charging to its recent announcement of a sapphire glass plant in Mesa, Ariz., augurs a move to solar charging.

Apple's 2014 iPhone is expected to include a redesigned form factor, with rumors indicating that Apple has been testing display sizes of up to six inches while also considering using a curved display of some sort.

iphone6 Release date rumors

The short version is that nobody really knows when the iPhone 6 is coming out. Everyone has a guess, but it's usually wrong. In other words, Apple releases a product when it's good and ready.According to the most recent reports, the larger-screened iPhone (or multiple iPhones) will debut in late 2014, which would be in line with the October 2011 launch of the iPhone 4s, the September 2012 launch of the iPhone 5, and the September 2013 launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c. Based on three years of release dates, fall of 2014 is a logical target for the launch of Apple's next iPhone.

However, the rumors continue to flow, and we look for the update when it is officially announced. This artcile will be updated with some more specification in near future.
